Welcome Friends

We are AZPOCA, The Pantera Owners Club of Arizona. AZPOCA is the Arizona chapter of POCA, or the Pantera Owners Club of America, of which there are seventeen chapters located throughout the United States of America. 

Our chapter was founded 43 years ago and currently, with about 52 members and about 40 Panteras located throughout the state, we have grown to achieve the 6th highest membership level and 5th largest number of cars among all the chapters.

Owning a De Tomaso Pantera is not a prerequisite to become a member of AZPOCA. We embrace any individual that has the desire to celebrate the marque and learn more about it and it's legendary history. So, if you're a Pantera enthusiast we do encourage you to join our club! Some people join because they are owners seeking out fellow owners to share the experience. Others join to learn all about the Pantera automobile prior to purchasing one. We also have non owner members, who in some cases own other vintage or specialty cars, that simply appreciate the Pantera and the friendly folks who own them, and want to participate in fun.

We have a very diverse membership that come from all walks of professional life which is a great source of networking and to make new lasting friends. The one thing we all share and have in common is the passion for DeTomaso Automobili.

Our club offers many frequent activities including track events, road rallies, dyno days, tech clinics, car cruises, swap meets, car shows, parties, monthly dinner meetings, Christmas party's, and much more. If you are a new owner, you need to know we are all about helping each other to keep these iconic rides on the road.

April 10th Thursday for those that prefer to arrive early - Enjoy Free time!

April 11th Friday- Phoenix Area travelers! Meet at Love’s Wild Horse Pass for the 2.5 hour Club drive to Sonoita

  1. 11:00 AM Meet at Wild Horse Pass for Fuel – Loves 7001 Sundust, Chandler, AZ
  2. 11:10 AM   Wheels Up! Then we will take I-10 to Tucson. 103 Miles 1 hour
  3. 12:00 PM  Bisbee Breakfast Club 13864 N Sandario Rd, Marana, AZ 85653 for a ~1 ½ hr Lunch.  leave 1:30 1 Hr, 37 miles to Meet up Point
  4. 2:30 pm Meet Tucson-Area Pantera Club members at Burger King, 9175 S. Rita Road, Tucson 40 mins, 35 miles to hotel
  5. 3:00PM Arrive at Hotel - Sonoita Inn. Check in is 3:30 pm. Relax, Gather in Atrium .

  1. 4-6PM – Gather in the Atrium, by the fireplace, check out the Secretariat photos in the Lobby or relax in your room – Or Meet up with Todd, Stefanie & others at Stef a Dos Cabezas winery 3248 Highway 82, Sonoita, AZ 85637 which is right across the street from Sonoita inn at about 4pm on that Friday 
  2. 6:15PM – Meet @ Parking Lot  Dinner for 6:30pm - Restaurant to be determined.
  3. 8:30PM Return to Sonoita Inn for fellowship in the common area – Drink lots of water

 

April 12th Saturday – Vineyards Day

8:45 am Meet in Hotel Parking lot for leisurely (12 miles/17mins) Pantera cruise to Patagonia for breakfast at The Stage Stop Inn’s Wild Horse Restaurant, 309 W McKeown Ave, Patagonia, AZ 85624.

10:45AM Our Pantera caravan will depart from breakfast, returning (12 miles/17mins) to Sonoita Inn!

11:00AM Saturday Arrivals meet at Sonoita Inn 3243 Highway 82, Sonoita, AZ 85637

11:00AM Panteras ready to depart The Inn to Wineries as follows:
#1. 11:30-1pm - Flying Leap Vineyards & Distillery, (7.6 Miles/18 mins) 342 Elgin Rd, Elgin, AZ 85611

#2. 1:30 -3pm - Sonoita Vineyards, Hors d'oeuvres Picnic* Lunch, (7.5 miles/17mins) 290 Elgin Canelo Rd, Elgin, AZ.  ROUGH ROAD   Remember:  No food or drink is available at stop #2. We will each need to bring our own picnic lunch and/or appetizers to share. Think a Picnic! Remember Plates, Napkins, Utensils Drinks, and a little extra for your Homies! It will be a beautiful Venue & a great time!

#3. 3:15-4:45pm - Arizona Hops and Vines, (2.2 miles/5mins) 3450 Highway 82, Sonoita, AZ 85637

5:00pm return to Sonita Inn (2.2 miles/6mins) for relaxation and fellowship

6:15pm Meet in Parking lot for Dinner 380 feet next door to Sonoita Inn

6:30PM Dinner at The Steak Out Restaurant à MENU

8:30pm Return to Sonoita Inn for fellowship in the common area

April 13th Sunday
9:00am Breakfast at the Copper Bottom Brothel (1/2 mile/3 min) 3112 Arizona 83, Sonoita, AZ 85637

10:30pm Return to Sonoita Inn Check out/Relax

11:00am Sunday Check out/Departures Please Meet in Parking lot for Return Options below:

1. Direct return home option, or
2. Add a stop through Patagonia and Rio Rico Via I-19 to Tour of Duval Body and Paint in Green Valley,
    19355 S Duval Commerce Dr, Green Valley, AZ 85614 – highly-acclaimed Pantera support facility, then on to the I-10 towards Tucson & Phoenix. See Map.

Sat, April 19th  10am-3pm – Fountain Hills/Concours in the Hills*

Register HERE  Car Show held on the grass at Fountain Park. Panteras will park across from Ferraris, on the grass close to Multimillion dollar exotics! Food trucks and restaurants are walkable nearby. Park Address: 12925 N Saguaro Blvd, Fountain Hills, AZ 85268 Feel free to bring a chair & hang out!

Participants who want to parade into the show with our AZ Pantera Club (Rolling Thunder), Please meet at 7:00 AM at - Wendy’s/Rainbow Donuts Parking lot, 17218 E Shea Blvd, Fountain Hills, AZ 85268.  We will caravan into the park together, lead/follow to our assigned (difficult to find) area on the grass. The show is on the entire park surrounding the Fountain Pond. It is a large event with very short grass.
